We have all gone through a lot in the past year with the pandemic, many people have lost their jobs, passed away or been isolated from family and friends. There are a few things that we feel are important for people to look at in order to ensure their family is properly protected should the unexpected happen.
The first thing is that our system and many of the insurance companies now have electronic signatures that allows us to complete applications for you on-line or via a phone call, provided you have an email address to do the signatures with. This means that we can do investments and life insurance should there be another lock down. So call or visit our web site to book an appointment with us should you require assistance or wish to have your complimentary Financial Goals
The second is to ensure you have the right amount of life insurance so if you were to become sick and pass away due to the Covid-19 virus or some other circumstance, there would be funds available to pay off any debt and provide your family with needed funds to carry on.
The third thing is to ensure you have Wills and Powers of Attorney and that they are up to date. You may think this is expensive however on our web site we have a link where you can them done for a very reasonable price (it is under the online services tab).
The fourth thing is having an emergency fund to help if you loose your job. We know things may be tight but it is something we all need during these times. A small monthly contribution of even $50 a month will eventually grow into a fund that can help you in the future either for an emergency or aid in your retirement. If you drink several Timmies a day give up one and you are almost at the $50 amount a month.
The last item is that a couple of our advisors have taken the H&R Block income tax course and can do your 2020 income tax returns so
again visit our web site and book an important to get your income tax returns done.
